Wrestling season

A forum for any topics that do not belong in the designated categories below.
Forum rules
1. Only leave links to other websites that clearly add to the conversation. Any blatant promotion of another site will be removed and the poster will be warned and possibly banned. While it's fine to have a very relevant link (fitness, diets and health as it relates to those topics) in your signature, don't try and increase the visibility of your signature by posting short answers to questions such as 'LOL'.

2. A forum is a place where you can interact with people from all over the world. This will lead to the exchange of ideas that you may not completely agree with. It is OK to debate others and defend your point of view, however there is a fine line between doing it in a respectful way and making people feel unwelcome. Always stand up for what you believe in, but do it in a way that won't lead to unfriendly and bitter rivalries. We should all be friends here, so please argue accordingly.

3. Listen to the moderators. They are here to help answer questions and make conversations run more smoothly. You can find them by clicking the members button at the top. All moderators have green text for their names. Don't hesitate to message them with any questions or concerns.

4. Avoid using 'bad' words. This is a board for all age groups and we all know that some words or phrases aren't appropriate for everyone. If you have a really good argument, 'bad' words aren't necessary to get the point across.

On the AAA website it states that Nov. 17th is the first day of wrestling (competition) how soon can teams start having practices? I know in most sports there are set time limits on how soon teams can begin practicing but have not come across any known date for wrestling. Any info will be appreciated.

I talked to Greg and he was informed by the AAA that there are not practice restrictions on any sport with the exception of the dead period in June. Your team could practice year round. You just can't start actual events until Nov. 17th. Some schools have been practicing all school year, and some are doing off season conditioning and small stuff a day or two a week. If someone knows this to be incorrect, please advise. Thanks,
Don

I don't think that any teams are planning to travel to Tennessee at this time, although Jonesboro probably will, being that close to the border. You might look at the website www.arkwrestling.com. GO under the participating schools tab and most of the schools have posted their schedules there.

Thanks,
Don
