Little Rock Central Grappler

A forum for Coaches, Administrators, and Officials to discuss matches, tournaments, technique, schedules etc...
Forum rules
1. Only leave links to other websites that clearly add to the conversation. Any blatant promotion of another site will be removed and the poster will be warned and possibly banned. While it's fine to have a very relevant link (fitness, diets and health as it relates to those topics) in your signature, don't try and increase the visibility of your signature by posting short answers to questions such as 'LOL'.

2. A forum is a place where you can interact with people from all over the world. This will lead to the exchange of ideas that you may not completely agree with. It is OK to debate others and defend your point of view, however there is a fine line between doing it in a respectful way and making people feel unwelcome. Always stand up for what you believe in, but do it in a way that won't lead to unfriendly and bitter rivalries. We should all be friends here, so please argue accordingly.

3. Listen to the moderators. They are here to help answer questions and make conversations run more smoothly. You can find them by clicking the members button at the top. All moderators have green text for their names. Don't hesitate to message them with any questions or concerns.

4. Avoid using 'bad' words. This is a board for all age groups and we all know that some words or phrases aren't appropriate for everyone. If you have a really good argument, 'bad' words aren't necessary to get the point across.

Hi guys,
I just wanted to let you know that Aaron Butler, a former Central Tiger and state champion, started for Neosho County Junior College sunday. He went one and one in a triangular, beating a Texas-Arlington wrestler 10-7 and losing to a Kansas State wrestler. Thats not too bad for a kid that has only been wrestling for slightly over 2 years.

Good Job Aaron!

That is great to hear. How is O'dell Lee from ASB looking this year? That kid was a beast last year as an 8th grader.

O'dell was only an 8th grader last year, but was 16, I think, because the school of the blind doesnt always have ages in the correct grades. O'dell would have been able to wrestle but the AAA has certain rules about high school athletics. a similar thing happened last year at ASB. Jody Brawdy was a senior but couldn't wrestle because he was 19. You are correct though o'dell is a good wrestler. He struggled a little though, because he gain so much size over the summer and was not used to the difference in weight of the people he was wrestling. The year before he was a 152'er.

I wouldn't think it would have mattered last year because it wasn't sanctioned yet? I know this year it would definately matter in regards to being below the 9th grade. I think they should have let him wrestle, but at least this year he will be able to display hisself. What was his record last year? Has he wrestled any this year that you know of? I only got a chance to see him wrestle once and that was against the Butler kid. It was a good match.
